Harald Grethe studied medicine at the University of Witten-Herdecke and agricultural sciences at the Georg-August-University Göttingen, where he graduated in 1996. He did his doctoral studies also at Göttingen and wrote his doctoral thesis on Effects of Including Agricultural Products in the Customs Union between Turkey and the EU (2004). After his habililation at the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin in 2006, he went to the Universität Hohenheim, where he became Professor for Agricultural and Food Policy in 2008. Since 2016, Harald is Professor for International Agricultural Trade and Development at the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin.

  • Rivalries between the production of foods and the energetic and industrial use of biomass
