Interdisciplinary Dialogue
Where is Interdisciplinarity and Transdisciplinarity in your work?
24 January 2025, 13.00-15.00
Hybrid: IRI THESys, RUD 12B & on ZoomCurrent late stage PhDs and Post-docs will discuss these two research practices as distinct, differently defined, valuable and also in some ways troublesome.
After opening with a moderated Q&A we will encourage a broad ranging conversation about issues related to inter- and trans-disciplinarity especially as they have become more normative for academics working on issues of sustainability. Equally, as the IRI THESys reorients itself and its priorities around its transformation into the Humboldt Center for the Anthropocene it is good to talk about the practicalities, pluses and minuses, of the research methods and research ethics we embrace.
