To support the dialogue between science and society, as well as researchers across different disciplines, IRI THESys holds both external and internal events. This includes lecture series, summer universities and panel discussions open to the public, and participative workshops, colloquiums and activities for IRI THESys.

Cycling Legacies of Infrastructure

Start & End Point: Kornspeicher (Technical Monument & Cultural Site)The bicycle tour will loop around Hobrechtsfelde in the north of Berlin to uncover the legacies of wastewater management and reflect on contemporary infrastructure challenges and pathways. Engaging with plant and animal life, Berlin-Brandenburg relations, the tour will mobilise and activate the history of the region. It is organized in collaboration with members of the Berlin cycling community, researchers from IRI THESys Infrastructure Group and the Anthropology of Environment|Human Relations Lab at IfEE.
