A ‘walkshop’ around Berlin’s water and energy infrastructures, 1 - 4:30 PM

In this guided tour, the historian Prof. Timothy Moss takes you on a journey along the pre-1920 border of Berlin and Charlottenburg demonstrating how our city has been shaped by its often invisible infrastructure. Together, you will pass six sites of energy and water technology, such as a power station, steam storage facility and former gasworks, where you can learn how they have been used as tools for urban expansion, unification, protection and modernization over the past 100 years.

The tour takes about 3-4 hours and covers 4-5 km from Alt-Moabit to Charlottenburg. Questions and answers can be continued during a visit to a restaurant afterwards.

The tour is not barrier-free. No technical equipment needed.
