Scientific Coordinator PROVIDE

Inga Menke is the Scientific Coordinator of PROVIDE and leads the HU work on the SPARCCLE project. Additionally, she is a Senior Research Scholar in the Integrated Climate Impacts Research Group, part of the IIASA Energy, Climate, and Environment Program. Inga holds a Master’s degree in Disaster Management and Risk Governance from the University of Bonn and a Magister in Political Science, Peace and Conflict Management, and Geography from the University of Marburg. Before joining HU, she worked as the Deputy Head of the Climate Science team at Climate Analytics in Berlin, Germany.

Her work concentrates on stakeholder engagement, including designing participatory processes, co-developing scenarios, facilitating science-policy dialogues, and building capacity among scientists and stakeholders. A key aspect of her work has been her engagement in the field of climate litigation, where she has contributed to advancing interdisciplinary collaboration and understanding. She has extensive experience in staff management, project management and funding. In 2022-2023 Inga participated in a year-long management course aimed at women offered by the Berliner Frauenbund (“die Löwin”). Contents included time and self-management, self-presentation, effective management of meetings, negotiation skills and personal leadership.
